My transformation happened when I decided to change my diet - not to diet.

For as long as I can remember, I've been excited to be in the kitchen. It’s my space for creativity and meditation. Somewhere that I can be unabashedly me.  

And it’s my kitchen that brought me to where I am now. 

I spent the majority of my early adult life struggling with anxiety, low self-esteem, disordered eating, and a 50-pound weight fluctuation. You can read the long version here. Essentially, I tried every diet book, workout video, and weight-loss supplement available - thinking that if I could just maintain a certain number on the scale, everything in life would fall magically into place. 

As I’m sure you can guess - that wasn’t the case at all. 

The real transformation happened when I decided to change my diet - not to diet. I channeled my love for being in the kitchen into a love for cooking whole, nourishing, nutrient-rich foods.

Slowly but surely, the weight came off (and stayed off!). Plus, I noticed my general outlook on life was shifting. I started experimenting with other wellness pathways, such as yoga and mediation. Over time, my anxiety lessened, I slept better, and I smiled when looking in the mirror. I finally felt  connected with my true, inner self.

And it all started with something as simple as real food. 

EAT. LIVE. BE.

I believe that living whole and eating well are innate and deeply rooted in our souls. And it’s become my mission to guide and motivate you to see how easy living a healthy, joyful life can be. 

My approach to coaching is informative, supportive, and high level. I help clients overcome emotional eating, digestive distress, low energy, and hormone imbalances due to stress and improper nutrition. Weight loss is a positive side effect rather than the main goal. 

Working together, we'll start with a foundational approach by balancing your plate with nutrient-dense, whole foods and incorporating new, health-supportive habits in order to crowd out what's no longer serving you and your ultimate goal of long-term health.

Erin Parekh is a board certified Holistic Health Coach and Culinary Nutrition Expert. 

Her motto "Because healthy doesn't have to be hard." guides her coaching practice, recipe development, and everyday life. She believes that how we choose to nourish our bodies is directly related to our overall functionality - physically, mentally, and emotionally. 

Erin understands that when it comes to health there is no one-size-fits-all approach, which is why her coaching style is informative, supportive, and highly customized.  Her practice focuses on emotional eating, digestive distress, low energy, and hormone imbalances due to stress and improper nutrition. She considers weight loss a positive side effect rather than the main goal. 

In addition to coaching, Erin loves to cook and teaches others how to feel comfortable and confident in the kitchen. Her recipes are simple and delicious - revolving around seasonal, whole food, plant-based ingredients. These nutrient-dense, health supportive recipes leave her clients and readers feeling nourished, satisfied, and empowered.

Erin received her health coach training from the renowned Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York City and is Nutritious Life Certified through Keri Glassman, MS, RD, CDN. She is also board certified by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners. A constant learner, Erin is currently pursuing training as a Culinary Nutrition Expert through the Academy of Culinary Nutrition (completion December 2018). 

Erin holds a B.A. in Art History (with a biology minor) from DePauw University and a M.A. in Visual Arts Administration from New York University. 

She resides in Stamford, CT with her veggie loving husband, Ravi.
